California School Dashboard

In March, 2017, the California Department of Education unveiled the new landmark accountability and improvement system that provides comprehensive information to help parents, educators, and the public evaluate schools and school districts, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provides targeted support to schools. The new California School Dashboard (www.caschooldashboard.org) is an easy-to-use online tool for navigating the state’s new accountability and continuous improvement system. The Dashboard shows how districts and schools are performing over time on several state and local indicators including academic scores in English and math, rates for suspensions, graduation, English learner progress and college/career readiness.

The Dashboard helps schools and districts build on successes and focus on challenges. As an accountability tool, the Dashboard helps the state identify schools and districts needing targeted interventions to improve.

The first official statewide release of Dashboard results is scheduled for December, 2017.
